Informal meeting of Heads of State or Government - Press conference

The Member States' Ministers meet within the Council of the European Union. Each Member State is represented by the Minister responsible for the matters on the agenda.
The European Council brings together the Heads of State or Government of the European Union and the President of the Commission. It defines the European Union's general political guidelines.
The President of the European Council chairs it and drives forward its work.
He ensures the preparation and continuity of the work of the European Council and facilitates cohesion and consensus within it. The President presents a report to the European Parliament after each of the meetings of the European Council. The presidents ensures the external representation of the Union on issues concerning its common foreign and security policy.
Eurogroup meetings and other ministerial meetings concerning the relations with third countries (troikas, intergovernmental conferences, signature ceremonies, etc.)
